My Ability in Him

Able to do higher than
i can imagine, think or contemplate

Because His ways are higher than mine
And his life mightier than mine

He chose to come to my level,
To become a puny man

I was on His mind,
This kept him beyond the pains of the cross

Every blow, every slash of the whip                                                                       Every step painful, carrying uphill the wooden cross

I was at the centre of his thoughts,
"We will get this man back to God"

I was at the centre of his ability to do,
To fulfil the will of God

Time it was when he was deep in prayer,
Not my will but thine be done

He felt help wasn't available,
As Peter James and John slumbered in a time of prayer

But through it all he succeeded and won my place
A place of peace with the father

And beyond that he has made me able
To carry out the will of the father

He did it not only for me, but also for you if you accept his love
